About natural tremoring

Through simple exercises, you can turn on a self-controlled muscular shaking that naturally rebalances the body. These begin in the legs and spread up the spine, releasing tension throughout the body.

Natural Tremoring integrates well with other traditional mental health and/or physical treatment modalities and supports health and healing for those with more severe emotional and/or physical dysfunction or disease.

The Natural Tremoring that we teach is a simplified version of Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises or TRE. Used by large military populations, communities exposed to natural and war-related disasters, emergency responders, mental health professionals, teachers, children, prisoners, individuals with PTSD, athletes, and many others, TRE has been taught in more than 100 countries over the last 20 years. Currently, 35 countries maintain active training and certification programs, and TRE training materials have been translated into seven languages. TRE easily crosses cultural and language barriers because the tremor response is a natural and universal reaction of the human body.


Natural Tremoring and TRE are members of a new class of treatment techniques and protocols referred to as body-based therapy. While still considered experimental, these techniques are being used by therapists, nurses, physicians, psychiatrists, and lay people worldwide. There are theories about how they work, why they work, and why they sometimes don’t work, but there is no accepted scientific explanation.

To date, Natural Tremoring and TRE have yielded exceptional results in the treatment of psychological and physical problems, but no one can know with certainty whether it will help a specific individual or address a specific problem.

Neither Natural Tremoring nor TRE are meant to replace appropriate medical treatment or mental health counseling.

As with any exercise program, please consult your physician before starting a Natural Tremoring practice. If your physician has approved basic physical exercise, you can safely begin.

I am aware that, by practicing Natural Tremoring, I assume and accept the risk of any adverse outcome that might result. I understand that I can stop my participation any time I wish, and that I am in control of the intensity at which I perform Natural Tremoring. I accept full responsibility for any side effects or changes in my life that performing Natural Tremoring may cause.

I am aware that, although Petra Martin and Leckey Harrison are certified TRE providers, they are not licensed physicians and therefore do not provide medical advice. I recognize that they do not recommend that I stop using prescribed medicine, treatments, or mental health counseling without consulting my doctor or counselor.

I agree to take full responsibility for my own physical and emotional health and hold Petra Martin, Leckey Harrison, and Raise Your Resilience, LLC, harmless from any legal, financial, and medical liability arising from my training in Natural Tremoring.

I acknowledge that I am not a certified provider of TRE or Natural Tremoring and am therefore not trained to teach others how to do it. If I teach TRE or Natural Tremoring to others, I accept full liability for any claim, suit, or proceedings brought against me by anyone I teach, thereby releasing Petra Martin, Leckey Harrison, and Raise Your Resilience, LLC, from any legal, financial, and medical liability that may be incurred.
